About

This blog was born out of a general interest of mass media and the way it effects us as individuals.  As we go about our days there is almost never a time where we are not being exposed to some form of mass media, whether it is a nearby TV, the browser in the background or a magazine on our desk.
This site is not meant to be an ongoing critique on mass media or advertising (though these may be occasional topics of conversation) but is instead a look into the ways these forms of communication affect, hinder and enrich our lives.
On a personal note, this is a project is a chance for me to explore an area that I am extremely interested in and looking back should probably have considered more as a major; communications.  For now I will be the only contributor until I get a solid content base, if you have any questions or comments, send me an e-mail at brendan@thedailyspectacle.com.
